This is a blog about python, chemometry and spectroscopy (not necessarily in that order). It aims to make the make it easy for spectroscopists to use the powerful python ecosystem in their daily work by presenting how-to's for basic and advanced techniques in chemometry, using reusable snippets of python code.

I'm a chemist by training and a python fan by accident.

I get bored easily when I have to click through the menus of commercial chemometry software. Python allows me to replace all these boring steps with a few lines of code that are reusable and can also serve as a documentation for what was done to the data.
